Cherylshuen

The Cherylshuen team feels proud to be given the opportunity to design this corporate cake for Rabobank's 25th year anniversary in Singapore.

We were given the following images for design inspirations.

All cake tiers are real and it was very challenging to secure a handmolded figurine on top of the globe cake.

We spend a few days to make all sugar embellishments for the cake and it was a pain to create hundreds of foliages to surround the bottom tier. However, we are very satisfied with the results because we achieved a splendid feel with the colourful tulips, windmill, traditional houses and clogs.

We did a cupcake setup for the dinner and dance of MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) held in Mandarin Gallery, Orchard. The main cake and cupcakes are designed to match the masquerade theme and we proposed an outstanding colour combination of turquise, red and little gold and silver.

We did a close up shot of the cakes prior to delivery.

Our thoughtful customer also ordered individual packing for give away of the adorable mini cupcakes to their guests.

Lastly, we would love to share our latest project and it was a very difficult one due to substantial changes on the day before delivery. It really gave us many heart attact moments because of the rushing! The setup was big in a length of 55inch across. We did a camera, a note book and two pencils as decorations because those are the more recognised tooling for reporters. All tiers and decorations were packed separately for on site setup at the St. Regis hotel. It was difficult but we just love how it turns out!

The "10" was done in sugar after their theme colour and should be visible when the VIP stands behind it to do a cake cutting.

This anniversary cake was very well received by the children who attended the event, we were so glad to hearing that and felt honoured to be selected as the cake designer for this event.

We are very honoured to make a cake for our client, who will present it to ¡ã¡ÁÏÈÓÂÀÏʦ, to wish him an advance success of Ǩ¤´º¡ãæĵµ¡èÍ¡è¡£

This cake serves approximately 100pax, and took us 2 full working days to bake, to wrap, to draw and to craft. All images and wordings onto this cake were handpainted with edible food colourings.

2008 October while we were looking for new decorating ideas, we were inspired by a cake pedestal that has beautiful roses motif on it. In the past, we ever came across painted cakes too from magazines and internet hence we decided to give it a try. This is the very first cake we painted:

When this cake was featured in W&T magazine, we were contacted by an editor from Nanyang Art magazine that they were interested to feature our handpainted cakes, however, they wished we could produce three cakes in different design and styles that all related to arts.
