We would like to inform our valued customers that there will be a slight delay in renovation of our new shop premise. Therefore, we will stay and operate at West Coast premise for another week till 26th March 2010.

Thank you to all our customers for supporting us over the years. We would gladly share a happy decision with all of you that we will make a MOVE to the east. Due to our relocation plan, we have to temporarily shut down our operation from 19th March 2010 till 31st March 2010.

Therefore, the last day to collect cakes from our current premise will be 18th March 2010. We will still be taking orders any date before 18th March 2010 or after 31 March 2010.

Cake collections and consultations falls on the 1st April 2010 will be carried in our shop premise located at Joo Chiat Road.

CHINESE NEW YEAR BREAK
We will be away from 12/02/2010 till 16/02/2010. The last day of collection/ delivery before Chinese New Year break is 11 February 2010 while operation resumes on the 17 February 2010.

We apologized that we will not be able to offer a variety of Chinese New Year biscuits this year, due to the relocation of shops. Pineapple tarts and pistachio cookies will be the only two biscuits on our baking list due to popular demand.

We wish to publish a general guidelines on our basic cake price as it will be useful to customers' planning of parties or weddings. The guidelines below are general ones, we reserve our rights to final the quotes based on individual requirements. Should there be any discrepancies on pricing information, the later published pricing applies.

BIRTHDAY CAKES
Smallest single tier round (based on 6inch dia round 4inch height, recommended for approx. 10-12pax) starts from SGD180.00.
Smallest two tier - round (based on 7inch dia round on bottom tier, 4inch dia round on top tier, each of the tiers to be 4inch height, recommended for approx. 20-23pax) starts from SGD250.00.
30pax (single tier only) based on 9inch dia round cake 4inch height starts from SGD320.00.
40-50pax based on 9inch dia round on bottom tier, 6inch dia round on top tier, each of the tier to be 4inch height, starts from SGD380.00.

Prices above are basic price that includes round cake tiers, reasonable amount of decorations, one set of name and happy birthday wordings, FOC normal candle and disposable knife. However, it does not includes other shapes or 3D sculptured or irregular shapes of cakes, people molding, cartoon figurines (normally provided by customers) and structures (ie. castle cake designs).

We have customers who purchase wedding category decorations for birthday occasions. In this case, wedding cake pricing will apply.

CUPCAKES
Mini cupcake with swirl piping, sprinkles and one flower decor starts from SGD3.00 each
Mini cupcake with fondant piece and decor starts from SGD3.50 each
Standard cupcake with swirl piping, sprinkles and one flower decor starts from SGD6.00 each
Standard cupcake with fondant piece and decor starts from SGD6.50 each
Remarks: there are additional charges on rental and deposit of cake stands and fresh flower decor, iced board, sugar names and happy birthday wordings, individual packing etc (subject to individual requirements)

WEDDING CAKES
Smallest two tier - round (serves approx. 20-23pax) starts from SGD350.00.
40-50pax starts from SGD500.00 - two tier rounds
75pax starts from SGD680.00 - two tier rounds
100pax starts from SGD900.00 - three tier rounds

Prices above are basic price that includes round cake tiers, reasonable amount of sugar decorations/ real flowers, wordings. However, it does not includes other shapes or 3D sculptured or irregular shapes of cakes, people molding, figurine toppers (normally provided by couples) and structures (ie. castle cake designs). Additional charges apply to special flavours like rich fruit cake.

HANDMOLDED FIGURINES
For the handmolded figurines we customise to couples' outfits (the round faces dolls), it starts from SGD138.00 per pair along with the purchase of wedding cakes, otherwise it will cost SGD180.00 per pair for customers who do not purchase their wedding cakes with us. Additional accessories like bike, pets etc will be additional charged depending on the labour hours needed to craft.

DELIVERY CHARGE
SGD30.00 per destination (there are a few exceptional destinations that may cost more, please check upon ordering cakes).

Our shop premise is located at Blk 501, West Coast Drive, #01-274, Singapore 120501. However, due to heavy demand of baking and decorating schedule, all consultations will be set by appointments only.

For bridal cakes, we request customers to pay a 50% deposit of total order value upon confirmation of their cakes. Balance 50% dues 14 days before delivery.

For birthday cakes, we collect full payment to confirm a booking. Please ensure sufficient clearing time for customers who make use of internet transfer or cheques.

We recognize confirmation of cake orders by payment receipt, we have no favours on big against small orders.

Cherylshuen specializes in customization of cakes and bakes. Therefore, our schedule is determined by orders on hand. Popular party dates will be booked out faster than weekdays.

Generally, we recommend customers to order at least two months in advance because bridal couples plan their event much in advance. If a date is available, 10 days notice is sufficient to do a nicely decorated cakes. Customers who wish to properly carry out their party themes are encouraged to plan earlier than that.

For customers who are sourcing a beautifully decorated cake with just a few days notice, we may recommend the use of fresh cream and sponge cake.

Generally, bakeries price their cakes by kilo. Cherylshuen however, price our cakes by number of pax.

When size/ dimension remains the same, a 6inch dia round fondant cake may weigh heavier than a 6inch dia round fresh cream-sponge cake. Icing too, may cause a cake to weigh heavier. For example, a 6inch dia round cake layered with chocolate ganache icing is heavier than a 6inch dia round cake layered with chocolate whipped cream. So long the size of cake is the same, cakes of different density (weight) may be cut into equivalent number of cake pieces.

Therefore, customers are encouraged to estimate the required number of pax so that we could recommend the size of cake tiers that meet their needs.

There are times customers may comment that we price higher than other bakers, there are times where customers may tell us that our cakes are expensive. Kindly note that different bakers may be working on a different operating costs and material costing. Besides material costs, Cherylshuen spends long labour hours into decorating our cakes (this is clearly reflected in craftmanship demonstrated in our creations).

We developed our own way of pricing cakes, therefore, we will not refer to other bakers' pricing in our quotations. It is reasonable to compare prices but we wish our effort and experties in designing and styling cakes be respected too.

In order to be fair, Cherylshuen does not negotiate on pricing. Cake orders that have been booked with payment will not be affected by price increment that took place later.

We charge a doorstep delivery of SGD30.00 per destination regardless the value of orders. Alternatively, customers may pick up their cakes from our shop at West Coast Drive at their own preferred time.

Cherylshuen operates in a cake boutique format where 98% of our creations are personalised, as a result, we received many inquiries daily to find out about prices on customizing cakes to different themes.

We appreciate customers who provide their names and contact number (as sometimes queries may arise when we read an inquiry and we need clarification prior to quoting), date of event, number of pax required and the themes of parties in their email inquiries. Anonymous inquirers may receive replies later than inquirers with full information.
