Special Announcement
We would like to inform our valued customers that there will be a slight delay in renovation of our new shop premise. Therefore, we will stay and operate at West Coast premise for another week till 26th March 2010.
The address of Joo Chiat shop is 268 Joo Chiat Road. We will keep everyone updated once the renovation is ready, and to upload the photos of its interior too.

Relocation of Cherylshuen Wedding Concept
Thank you to all our customers for supporting us over the years. We would gladly share a happy decision with all of you that we will make a MOVE to the east. Due to our relocation plan, we have to temporarily shut down our operation from 19th March 2010 till 31st March 2010.
Therefore, the last day to collect cakes from our current premise will be 18th March 2010. We will still be taking orders any date before 18th March 2010 or after 31 March 2010.
Cake collections and consultations falls on the 1st April 2010 will be carried in our shop premise located at Joo Chiat Road.
CHINESE NEW YEAR BREAK
We will be away from 12/02/2010 till 16/02/2010. The last day of collection/ delivery before Chinese New Year break is 11 February 2010 while operation resumes on the 17 February 2010.
We apologized that we will not be able to offer a variety of Chinese New Year biscuits this year, due to the relocation of shops. Pineapple tarts and pistachio cookies will be the only two biscuits on our baking list due to popular demand.

TV Interview with Channel 8
We were interviewed by Channel 8 on our cakes and did a demonstration on decorating a pink package cake for feature in the programme ³ÇÈËÐÂÔÓÖ¾. We understand that some of our customers may feel very curious on how we decorate their cakes and the secret will be revealed coming Friday, 15th January 2010, 8pm.

7th Anniversary Cake for I CAN! Program
This anniversary cake was very well received by the children who attended the event, we were so glad to hearing that and felt honoured to be selected as the cake designer for this event.

2010 CALENDAR
We have received the calendars and some of our new customers already gotten a copy when they collect their cakes. For customers who already emailed to us, we will prepare to mail out their copies.
Please note that we will give these calenders to our customers for free, hence, if you ever purchased a cake from Cherylshuen Wedding Concept, you will be entitled for one. Please feel free to send us a mail with your address and contact numbers, and not forgetting to mention the cake you ordered, we will send it to you.
We only ordered 500 copies hence we will only give them out while stock lasts. Thank you.

2010 Calendar
We are excited to inform that we have designed a calendar for the year 2010, and the calendars will be ready in two weeks time. 06 Nov 2009 - We've received a copy of calendar proof and the rest of the calendars are at the final production now. Once they are ready, the printer will deliver them to Singapore. Here's a preview of the calendar and some of its content.

Food Specialists
Channel U has launched a new programme entitled "Food Specialists" that features some interesting jobs in the food industry. If you are curious about our jobs in designing occasion cakes, you are able to get some insights as Cherylshuen is featured in one of the episodes.
The show was premiered on the 20th October 2009 and it will be shown every Tuesday, 9.30pm (to be repeated 11.30pm).

Special Flower Class - Rose & Water Lily
Thank you for your patience, we apologize on the long wait.
We've invited Rosalind (also known as Rose) who have been doing cakes for over 25years in the United States to provide hands-on classes to those who are keen in learning more about cake decorating.
Rose has learned from some of the very best teachers from US, Argentina, South Africa and UK, the extensive big names include SCOTT CLARK WOOLLEY (the author of "Cakes by Design"),
Ron Ben Israel, Betty Van Nordstrum, Judy Bradshaw and Eleanor Reilander.
Following is a photo of the rose type that Rosalind made. It's lifelike and incredible to believe it's actually a hand crafted sugar flower.

Another photo which showcased a side view of a baby shower cake, featured beautiful waterlilies.

Rosalind will be holding two classes on sugar rose making and sugar lilies making. Each of the classes is SGD120.00, commences on 10am and ends at 4pm.
Another hands-on class will be a complete course in wedding cake decorating. It spreads across 3days and students may bring in dummies of 6, 8 and 10 of any shape they want or bake their own pound cakes of 3 or 4inch height.
Students will be learning to make fondant from scratch, tiering and stacking of cakes, covering fondant on cakes, making flower decoratings and finishing touches. The class will be $650.00 per student. Private classes are available for $950.00 for maximum of two students.
For students who are interested in dressing single tier birthday or graduation cakes, we too offer a two day hands-on class for SGD350.00. Please bring your own 8 inch pound cake, 4 inch high. It can consist of two units of 2inch height cakes too. The course includes making and covering of fondant, as well as making simple cake decorations.
We will try to schedule the classes around the 20th of Dec. Early birds may request their preferred dates (must be convenient and possible to teacher's schedule too). We collect a deposit of 20% of course fees to book a place. Cancellation within 5 days before classes may induce the forfeit of deposit as Rosalind needs to purchase necessary equipments. Everything will be provided in class for learning purpose only. Cutters and equipments will be on sale after their classes.
